The victorious floats from the PTC parade

The winning floats in the July 3 parade in Peachtree City were announced that day by the Recreation Department. The top floats are as follows:

ä Golf Cart Trophies: third place — the Rupp family's “Fire Squad” entry; second place — the Gaynor family's “North Pole” entry; first place — the Zinck family's “Patriotic” entry.

ä Best in Children's division: the Lingler family's “Dog” float.

ä Most Patriotic: Cub Scout Pack 279's “Liberty Bell.”

ä Most Creative: Noble Hotels.

ä Most Original: Grundy Chiropractic/Peachtree City Florist.

ä Mayor's Trophy: Cub Scout Pack 75's “Viking Ship.”

ä Grand Marshal Trophy: St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School, winners in 1998 and 1999.
