Andrew Schneider, PGA professional, former college coach, and host of the radio program “Doctor Golf with the PGA Minute,” will be busy in Peachtree City this summer. Schneider will be conducting golf classes for senior citizens and adults.

The courses for senior citizens begin July 10. There will be six classes in all and all supplies and equipment will be provided by the instructor. Schneider teaches a very easy format and students begin playing golf from the very first day. The cost is $35 for the entire course and classes will be every Saturday at Drake Field in Peachtree City from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The course for adults will be Saturdays at Drake Field from 8-9 a.m. The course will consist of six one-hour classes beginning July 10. Each student participates in the planned lesson sequence to learn the fundamental swing concept. Following each training session is an activity period where a variety of options are available. Cost is $50 per person. The instructor will provide all of the supplies and equipment.

Both of these courses are being presented by the Peachtree City Recreation Department, which is also conducting junior golf camps July 19 to Aug. 20. The one-week camps will be at the Angel Lakes golf course approximately 15 miles south of Peachtree City. The purpose of the camps is to help students by fine-tuning their existing skills and to provide a means to understand their own golf swing.

There will be extracurricular activities at the golf camps and lunch will be provided. Cost is $249 per student. Camps for students ages 7-11 will be July 19-23 and Aug. 9-13; camps for students 12-17 will be July 26-30 and Aug. 16-20.

Registration will be open two weeks before each camp. Call 770-631-2542.
