Criminal hearings are scheduled in Superior Court for today at 10 a.m. with Judge Paschal A. English presiding. Among the defendants scheduled to present their cases are:

William Thomas Cranford, scheduled for a plea hearing. He is charged with aggravated assault, financial transaction card theft, giving false information and battery. Additional charges of terroristic threats and acts, open container and driving without a license were dismissed.

He was found guilty in March of last year of enticing a child for indecent purposes, aggravated sodomy and aggravated child molestation. His sentence called for a stay in the Florida Institute of Neurological Rehabilitation, with the stipulation that if he were released from there before ten years were up, he would serve the balance of that time in a Georgia prison.

Also in Superior Court, Michael Eugene Estes of Hampton was charged last week with theft by shoplifting. He allegedly shoplifted a drill and a chainsaw from Home Depot in May.
