Fayetteville First Baptist Church sets special activties July 4

Members of Fayetteville First Baptist Church will celebrate July 4 in special day-long activities beginning with special worship leaders featured at the 11 a.m. service.

Kimberly Justus and George Fridlender are a man and wife team who has led worship through word and song in more than 300 churches in the southeast.

Fridlender, born and raised behind the iron curtain in the old Soviet Union, later made his way to America where he met his present wife, South Carolina native Kimberly Justus. Both received advanced degrees from the Julliard School of Music in New York and continued on to international acclaim as opera singers in Western Europe.

The Fridlenders live in Clemson, S.C. with their two small sons, William and Robert.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the church will host an Evangelistic Block Party for the community, with hot dogs, hamburgers and all the trimmings.

For this Sunday only, there will be one Sunday School at 9 a.m. and one worship service at 11 a.m.
