Superior Court Drug charges
were filed last week in Superior Court against
three people in connection with a single incident
last June.
According
to reports, Timothy John Kiel and John David
Sharman, both of Senoia, were arrested the night
of June 26 last year on Harp Road at Rebecca
Lakes. Both have been charged with possession of
marijuana, and Sharman faces an additional count
of obstructing an officer.
Stephanie
Diane Lomax of Hampton was arrested at the same
time on Ga. Highway 85 and charged with selling
marijuana.
Also
in Superior Court last week:
Kenneth Durand
Smith of Jonesboro pled guilty Thursday to
possession of cocaine in connection with an
incident in January.
He
was sentenced to five years, with three to serve
and two on probation, and ordered to undergo drug
counseling.
Mary L. Bussey
of Greenville, Ga. pled guilty Wednesday to
possession of cocaine after an incident in May,
and was sentenced to five years on probation,
with time to be served in a diversion center.
James Bryan
Knight of Fayetteville was charged Monday with
habitual violator, failure to yield to an
emergency vehicle, failure to maintain lane and
driving under the influence of alcohol.
He
was stopped Oct. 17 on Ga. Highway 54 at Walt
Banks Road after failing to yield and maintain
his lane, and the other offenses were discovered
at that time, police said.
Curtis
Cornelius Scott of Atlanta was charged Thursday
with possession with intent to distribute cocaine
and marijuana, along with a seatbelt violation.
He
was stopped March 19 of last year north of
Fayetteville, at which time police discovered a
brown cigar case in his car with 35 hard
offwhite substances believed to be crack
cocaine, according to reports.
Carlton Dewey
Jackson was charged Thursday with two counts of
theft by shoplifting.
He
allegedly stole three packages of ribeye steaks
from Kroger and a black Minolta camera from
K-Mart, both incidents occurring Jan. 7, 1998.
According
to reports, Jackson has six previous shoplifting
convictions in Clayton, DeKalb and Spalding
counties, between 1984 and 1988.
Ezra Beasley
was charged Thursday with driving to the left of
the center lane and possession with intent to
distribute marijuana.
He
was stopped March 19 of last year on Milam Road
for the traffic violation, and officers found 35
green Ziploc-type bags, packaged for sale,
containing what was believed to be marijuana,
police said.
James Donald
Dimler of Fayetteville was charged June 23 with
theft by taking, for allegedly stealing a 1989
Ford Aerostar minivan Feb. 14 of last year.
