Photocircuits Corporation in Peachtree City has awarded college scholarships to students from six area schools.

Students qualified for the scholarships through academic achievement, financial need, career path, and community involvement.

Of 93 applicants, there were 11 scholarship recipients and three runners-up. Each scholarship winner received a $1,000 check for educational purposes and an opportunity for a summer internship at Photocircuits. Each runnerup was offered a summer internship at the Peachtree City facility. The total value of the awards exceeded $50,000.

Coweta recipients are Justin Wetmore and Jess Shirley of Newnan High School and Adam Walding from East Coweta High School.
