Campolo, Sharpe will kick off festivities, at SW Christian Hospic's 7th benefit dinner

Dr. Tony Campolo, nationally known inspirational speaker, and Guy Sharpe, popular local TV personality, will head the list of celebrities at this year's Seventh Annual Benefit Dinner and Award Banquet hosted by Southwest Christian Hospice. Sharpe will serve as master of ceremonies and Campolo will be the keynote speaker.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 8, at 7 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center adjacent to the Atlanta International Airport.

Dr. Campolo is a professor of sociology at Eastern
College in St. David's, Pa. He also is the founder and president of Evangelical Association for the promotion of Education (EAPE/Kingdom works), a ministry that serves at-risk youth in urban America as well as sponsoring education and economic development programs in third world countries.

A leader in evangelical social action, Dr. Campolo is a sought-after speaker and TV talk show guest. He is the author of 26 books and has a weekly television show on the Odyssey Network. He is an ordained minister and serves as associate pastor at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia.

Several awards will be presented, including the 1999 Servant Leadership Award which will go to Ms. Martha Wade. Wade has served as a language missionary to Papua, New Guinea since 1980.

Tickets are $100 per person. All proceeds will go toward underwriting overall operating expenses of the Hospice and Hope House ministries which provides care at no charge to patients and families served by Southwest Christian Hospice.
