Well, here we go again — the school board is asking for more of the taxpayers money. SPLOST went splosh, so here they come again. What is so ironic to me is there is a panel that is studying an impact fee; what's to study?

The builders are building new homes at every corner and have signs out front bragging about the wonderful school system in Fayette County, the builders are getting rich and the real estate people are selling and getting rich, and the taxpayers are paying through the nose to keep both of them in business.

I am, for one, sick of the whole system. We keep getting fed the whole idea that all the trailers will be gone if we just give the schools enough money! The gold in Fort Knox wouldn't be enough!

We have lived in this county since 1964, and the trailers have never left and the building is still going strong.

Pass the impact fees for each house built, and each house that is sold, and then let them praise the schools that they helped to build.
