Prophetic evangelist Johnson will hold services in Fairburn The newly established Prince of Peace Charismatic Episcopal Church (CEC) in Fairburn (formerly St. Matthews) will offer prophetic services conducted by the Rev. Dr. James A. Johnson, D. Min., D.D., Thursday and Friday, June 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Johnson, pastor of Messiah CEC in Nashville, Tenn., is a well known prophet and evangelist, according to a spokesperson. In addition to praise, worship and communion, the services will include time for Rev. Johnson to minister to individuals. In the midst of an alarming decline in many denominations today, the Charismatic Episcopal church is enjoying tremendous growth, with over 600 churches internationally in the last six years, a spokesperson said. Fr. Johnson may be known to area residents through his long time association and ministry with internationally known prophet Bishop Bill Hamon, formerly of this area. Rev. Johnson is a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor and will be flying into Falcon Field in Peachtree City. He says flying his own plane enables him to minister to a wide geographical area and still get back to his home church in time for Sunday services. Modern day ministry requires modern day methods, he says. During his visit, Rev. Johnson will stay with Peachtree City residents Fr. Ray Griner, pastor of prince of Peace, and his wife Jere. For more information on the services at Prince of Peace, call Fr. Griner at 770-631-1679.
