Tech firm opens facility in PTC

Transportation pricing, data and technology provider SMC3 recently dedicated its new corporate headquarters in Peachtree City.

Members of the Board of Directors, city officials, vendors and customers attended the all-day celebration. Jim Castellaw, national sales manager, provided the invocation, followed by speeches from Jack Middleton, president and CEO, and Paul Weaver, chairman of the board.

"This was a special day that will be etched in our memories forever,” said Middleton. “It was a culmination of events set in place to solidify our new direction at SMC3, especially our new print shop, new computer system and new building.

“But, more importantly,” he added, “it solidifies our new attitudes and a refreshing approach to business opportunities."

The firm's new facility, Commerce Center, is in the Westpark Commercial Center in Peachtree City. Westpark is a 95-acre business and commercial park in a natural setting. The building is 29 miles south of the company's previous Atlanta Midtown location.

Commerce Center sits on three acres, occupying 40,000-plus square feet.

As one of America's most successful master-planned communities, Peachtree City has seen significant growth over the past several years and is home to many of the world's top company headquarters. The city creates an ideal sense of community and is a perfect setting for SMC3, said Middleton.

"Commerce Center is an outstanding investment for us," added Middleton. "Not only will the new building provide a significant return on investment but with Peachtree City's business climate and the building's new and modern atmosphere, it will enhance our new business image and offerings to prospective members and customers."
