The Wesley Bell Ringers from Christ United Methodist Church, Salt Lake City, Utah, will perform at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree CitySunday, June 13, at 2 p.m. The concert is part of the choir's 34th annual summer tour. Since its first performance in 1963, the choir has performed at such diverse places as the U.S. Capitol, the Cathedral of the Pines National Shrine, Yorktown Victory Center, Disneyland and Disney World. They also have played with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony Orchestra. The 25 high school-age members play 197 English handbells, 25 silver melody bells, 74 handchimes, 25 cup bells, a 25-note carillon, and assorted percussion instruments. This year's tour concerts include Rossini's Overture from The Barber of Seville, a medley of songs from Disney's The Lion King, familiar hymns and folk songs, and original compositions written directly for handbells. Christ Our Shepherd is at the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Floy Farr Parkway (Ga. Highway 54). There is no admission charge, but an offering will be accepted. Phone 770-487-8717.
