SummerGrove Golf Club purchase weather predicting equipment

SummerGrove Golf Club in Newnan has become the first in the nation to subscribe to the newest weather service from DTN Weather Center.

DTN recently introduced Storm Sentry PC, a new weather information service designed to provide real-time storm tracking.

The Jemsek family building the course has often been at the forefront of new technology at their seven other golf courses in the Chicago area.

The DTN Storm Sentry PC provides several functions. The system provides a maximum 30-minute warning when severe weather is impending. With the high resolution radar, storms can be tracked within two miles.

“With DTN Storm Sentry PC, you don't have to be a meteorologist to track and interpret severe weather,” said Matty McKewon, product sales director. “This system is a breakthrough for users who need state-of-the-art weather information at a low cost.”
