Georgia Secretary of State Cathy Cox is the featured speaker at the June membership breakfast of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce. The breakfast is set for June 22 at 7:30 a.m. at Barronton's Seafood and Steaks on Bullsboro Drive in Newnan.

Cox was elected Georgia's first female secretary of state last November. She had served as assistant secretary of state since 1993.

A native of Bainbridge, Cox represented the area in the Georgia General Assembly had has worked as an attorney and as a reporter in Bainbridge and Gainesville.

The breakfast is free for all chamber members and is sponsored by Randstad Staffing Services. Reservations are necessary. Phone the Chamber office at 770-253-2270.
