Grab a cold drink, a cool book and chill out with Fayette County Library's summer reading program starting this week with registration.

The library is offering a season-long calendar of events and prizes to encourage children, teens and adults to read.

Peachtree City Library also has its program kickoff this week, following the same frosty theme.

The first scheduled event at the Fayette County Library, on Heritage Park Way is Wednesday, June 16 at 2 p.m. The program is called “Music is Magic, Come to the Circus,” with Bruce Bernstein.
