Lazers repeat as division champions

The Under 10 Peachtree City Lazers white team completed the spring season in the Georgia Youth Soccer Association Premier program as the top team in its division.

Competing against teams throughout Georgia, the Lazers finished ahead of excellent teams such as Cobb County's United Quest and Concorde Quicksilver.

This was the second season in a row that ended in a division title, as the Lazers were number one in the fall as well. This year the Peachtree City Lazer white team won over 40 games including several tournaments such as the Atlanta Cup and the Stone Mountain Nike Invitational.

Of the 48 Under 10 Premier teams in Georgia, the Lazers have quickly gained the reputation as the number one team. During the past year, the team was coached by Robert Wiemann and trained by Jose Rivera, the 1999 National United States Youth Soccer Coach of the Year, along with Charlie Morgan, the Peachtree City Youth Soccer Association director of coaching.Morgan is a former professional player and coach.
