'Family Fest '99' is Saturday at Centennial Olympic Park

Residents of Fayette County are invited to attend “Family Fest `99,” a day of fun for the whole family this Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. A contemporary concert for youth, “Gettin' Free” is scheduled from 7:30-10:30 p.m.

The event is part of the Georgia Baptist Convention and will offer shows throughout the day featuring Dean-O and the Dynamos, a contemporary Christian rock group from Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Psalty and Friends.

The park's food court will be open all day and puppets, clowns and ventriloquists will provide entertainment. In addition, there will be free rides and moonwalks for children along with several giveaways.

There is no admission charge.
