| Sandy Creek Road closing
set June 14 Fayette County Public Works
Department will close Sandy Creek Road south of
Hood Road June 14 for about eight weeks.
County
workers will replace an old concrete culvert with
a new one, a project that public works director
Lee Hearn said is important to improve drainage
and prevent undermining of the road.
Southbound
cars will be detoured onto Flat Creek Trail, to
Tyrone Road, to Ga. Highway 54. Northbound
traffic will detour to Eastin Road, then Graves
Road, Gingercake Road, Hwy. 54 and Ga. Highway
92.
