County roads to get new
pavement Eleven Fayette County roads
will get just over 11 miles of new pavement under
a contract between the county and the state
Department of Transportation.
Funding
for the resurfacing comes from DOT's local
Assistance Road Program, which was begun in 1978.
Getting
a facelift will be:
Anna Lane, .21
miles in the city of Woolsey.
Brooks Road
from the Ga. Highway 85 Connector to Spalding
County;
Darren Drive
from Carrols Way to the dead end;
Hewell Road
from Ga. Highway 54 to its dead end;
Lone Oak Drive
from Padgett Road to its dead end;
Magmar Lane
from Autobahn Lane to its dead end;
McIntosh Road
from the 85 Connector to Spalding County;
Morning Creek
Lane from Kenwood Road to the end;
Old Norton Road
from Hwy. 54 to its newly paved portion inside
Fayetteville.
Sams Drive from
Lee's Mill Road to Sandy Creek Road;
Stoneridge Way
from Downeybrook to Hilo Road.
County
public works director Lee Hearn said work should
get started on the repaving within 60 days or so.
