To help Fayette County school officials know what's in the minds of businesses, parents, local officials and others, a community round table is being developed, said school superintendent Dr. John DeCotis. Approximately 80 people have been invited to the first round table Saturday, June 12 at 10 a.m. DeCotis invited those who might be interested in being a part of the group to call him. After the first meeting, the round table will be divided into sub-groups that will focus on issues such as curriculum instruction, operations, technology and facilities and space. There is no shortage of issues, DeCotis quipped to the laughter of the group during a Fayette County Republican Party meeting last weekend. We are all here for the students, he said. The school system is set up for the good of the community. We all have a responsibility for every child out there. We can't do it ourselves.
