Schools ready for graduation Friday

The familiar strains of “Pomp and Circumstance” will be heard across Fayette County Friday night as three public high schools conduct commencement exercises.

Sandy Creek High School students will march into their stadium at 6 p.m. for the graduation ceremony. Addressing the assembly will be Tom Flaherty, valedictorian, and Keelan Seabolt, salutatorian.

McIntosh High School's graduation will begin at 7 p.m. with a welcome by departing principal Stuart Bennett. The valedictory address will be given by Hilary Bowler, follwed by salutatorian Ashley Mehaffie.

Fayette County High School students will graduate at 8 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. Class valedictorian Chang Long Wu will speak at commencement along with class salutatorian Matthew Condit.
