Weaver signs with Milligan

Wendy Weaver, a senior at Landmark Christian School,
has agreed to play volleyball for the Lady Buffs of Milligan
College next year.
Weaver was a four-year letterman for the volleyball
team, as well as team captain and MVP. She helped lead the War Eagles
to the state tournament all four years. This year she made the
all-star team and has been a standout with the junior Olympics
volleyball program. She also lettered in swimming and track for
Landmark.
Weaver excels academically and musically, as well as
athletically. She was the recipient of the Silver Eagle Award for
academics as well as the Timothy Award. She has earned a 3.69 GPA in
her four years at Landmark. She is also band president and first
chair flutist and piccolo player in the symphonic band at
Landmark. Weaver also played with the Georgia Lions All-State Band.
Weaver, the daughter of Rex and Betsy Weaver of Rex,
Ga., plans to major in history this fall. She is active with her
church, Southwest Christian Church in East Point, with the drama
team, the choir and junior church worship.
Milligan, a private Christian liberal arts college in Northeast
Tennessee, is consistently named one of the best liberal arts colleges
in the South.
