Wendy Weaver, a senior at Landmark Christian School, has agreed to play volleyball for the Lady Buffs of Milligan College next year.

Weaver was a four-year letterman for the volleyball team, as well as team captain and MVP. She helped lead the War Eagles to the state tournament all four years. This year she made the all-star team and has been a standout with the junior Olympics volleyball program. She also lettered in swimming and track for Landmark.

Weaver excels academically and musically, as well as athletically. She was the recipient of the Silver Eagle Award for academics as well as the Timothy Award. She has earned a 3.69 GPA in her four years at Landmark. She is also band president and first chair flutist and piccolo player in the symphonic band at Landmark. Weaver also played with the Georgia Lions All-State Band.

Weaver, the daughter of Rex and Betsy Weaver of Rex, Ga., plans to major in history this fall. She is active with her church, Southwest Christian Church in East Point, with the drama team, the choir and junior church worship.

Milligan, a private Christian liberal arts college in Northeast Tennessee, is consistently named one of the best liberal arts colleges in the South.
