Southern gospel at Open Doors Baptist

A Southern Gospel Music concert is planned for Thursday, June 3, at 7 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church in Senoia. The concert will feature the Perrys and Second Coming.

The Perrys, who have been singing gospel music for 29 years, consist of Tracy Stuffle, Libbi Perry Stuffle, Nicole Watts and Mike Bowling.

"We're all different in our vocal styles, Tracy explains, "but somehow we all come together, which has shown us that God can bring different styles together...we're a mixture of a little bit of everything and yet we're a 'family' in unity that supports one another."

In 1998, two of the Perrys' songs, "Not Even A Stone," and "By Faith I Can Touch Him," were number 1 on the charts. Both songs came from the same album, which is a "rare accomplishment," a spokesperson said.

The gospel concert will be held at the Open Door Baptist Church, 7364 Ga. Hwy. 16 East in Senoia. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the concert scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. A love offering will be accepted.

The public is invited to attend.
