Fayette Community Theatre serves up comedy, murder, and dessert

By MICHAEL BOYLAN
Weekend Editor

This weekend, the Fayette Community Theatre will present the comedy "Next Victim Please."

The play features hilarious dialogue, side-splittingly funny physical comedy, colorful characters and your choice of desserts and beverages.

Col. Maxwell Murdoch is a very wealthy old man and his family is fighting for their share of his inheritance. A bumbling detective, as well as a feisty maid and a very stiff butler round out the characters running around in this zany 60-minute comedy. This is the type of comedy that begs the question: Will anyone survive until the final curtain?

The play will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Fellowship Hall in Peachtree City, running Thursday, May 20 to Sunday, May 23. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday's performance will be a matinee at 2:30 p.m.

Seating for desserts will begin 15 minutes before the times listed above and the show will begin approximately a half hour later.

Tickets are $10 and the price includes dessert and admission. Seating is limited and the purchase of tickets in advance is suggested. Tickets are available at the Peachtree City Library or reservations can be made by phoning the theater ticket line at 770-631-1542. Any tickets remaining will be sold at the door prior to the performance.
