More than 1 million children are killed or injured each year
in preventable traffic, household and recreational accidents.
In an effort to reduce this number, Nalley Honda is hosting
Child Safety Awareness Day at its dealership on Saturday from 10
a.m.-2 p.m.
Child Safety Awareness Day offers families important
advice and hands-on instruction on a variety of issues including
vehicle and traffic safety, sport and recreational injuries and
preventing child abductions.
Additionally, attendees can learn the proper installation
of child safety seats and the correct use of seatbelts. Union City
leaders will also provide demonstrations and informative talks
on child safety issues.
"Honda started Child safety Awareness Day last year
because education and prevention are two of the best ways to keep
families safe," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of
American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Nalley Honda is located at 4197 Jonesboro Rd. in Union City.
