The Peachtree City Tennis Center has a great reputation for running some of the finest tournaments in the United Sates Tennis Association.

As a reward for their efforts to grow their tennis participation in all age groups, the tennis center received a $3,300 grant from the USTA Southern Section and Georgia District.

The grant is open to all members and encourages community tennis administrators to measure their growth by the increase of USTA members each year. Through the Community Development/Local Membership Grant, the Southern Section offers $3 per USTA member and the Georgia District offers $1 per USTA member.

The grant is renewable annually and encourages community tennis organizations to increase their USTA membership and the number of USTA programs.

The Peachtree City Tennis Center offers programs for all age groups, from pee wee to seniors. The center also is launching a beginner's league called USA Tennis 1-2-3 and will provide all of the fun this summer during the USTA Women's Challenge.

The Southern Section of USTA is the largest of its 17 sections. It is composed of 130,000 members and comprises 23 percent of the entire USTA membership.
