Peachtree Natural Gas and its marketing partner, Coweta-Fayette EMC, are offering free gas for all existing and new residential customers on their June, July and August natural gas bills.

Peachtree Natural Gas and Coweta-Fayette EMC are the preferred providers for Peachtree City.

"With the impending Aug. 11 deadline for selecting a provider, Peachtree Natural Gas was making this offer to attract new customers, and their willingness to extend the offer to existing customers demonstrates their commitment to the residents of this community," said assistant city manager Joe Morton, who helped negotiate the contract with Peachtree Natural Gas for the preferred residential rates. "I am pleased that the customers who have already signed up will be able to benefit with additional savings during the summer months."

New residential customers also will benefit from the offer, with free gas for the months remaining after they sign up. Residents who wish to sign up with the designated preferred provider can phone the local Coweta-Fayette EMC office at 770-502-0226. Residents should specify that they are part of the Peachtree City rate package.

The offer applies to accounts billed in June, July and August. Because customers are billed in cycles, an account billed June 2, June 10 or June 15 would contain consumption for May at $0 per therm and $0 pipeline charges.
