They say her name was Cassie. They say the shooter asked her, "Do you believe in God?" They say she said, "Yes." They say there was no right answer. They are wrong. The truth is the only answer. I am glad the young student in Littleton, Colorado believed in God. I am sure He welcomed her into his arms only seconds after she made the confession and the shooter took her life. Why would anyone think there was no right answer to such a question? Does the right answer save us? Not always. At least not in this realm. There are lessons to be learned by many from the Columbine High School massacre. Among those lessons is one that will benefit all. We get too busy from time to time. Maybe we stay too busy all the time. Too busy to remember how short life can be. How quickly it can all be over. I don't think I have ever written a column this short before. I have chosen to be unusually brief for a reason. In the remaining seconds or minutes you would normally spend reading this column, pick up a pen and paper and write a note to someone you love. Someone who needs to hear what you need to say. Let it be the truth. Let it be from your heart. Life is too short to hesitate. Write. Don't call. Write...
