The use of burial pits in Coweta County for construction debris ended Apr.21 following action by the Coweta County Board of Commissioners.

At the alst board meeting, several of the commissioners expressed concerns about the continued use of construction burial pits following complaints by homeowners.

The commissioners said the opening of the recent Construction and Demolition landfill should curtail builders from having to bury debris.
