Fayette Community Hospital awarded accreditation

Fayette Community Hospital was recently awarded a full three-year accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). After the evaluation period, the one-year old hospital successfully met and surpassed all of the Joint Commission's standards.

“We are very pleased to have met the high performance standards set by the JCAHO. Accreditation is an indication of the high quality of care we offer,” said Darrell Cutts, CEO, Fayette Community Hospital.

Joint Commission Accreditation presents a reliable perspective on an organization's ability to provide quality healthcare while meeting certain performance standards. These standards reflect the consensus of healthcare professionals across the country as to what they agree is most conducive to providing quality care in today's society. Achieving accreditation means that an organization substantially complies with Joint Commission standards and continuously makes efforts to improve the care and services it provides.
