A recent letter writer ("Civil war argument is the least convincing," April 14) compared the situation in Kosovo and our reasons for becoming involved to WWII and the Holocaust. The two are in no way related. The United States did not enter the war against Germany to stop the Holocaust. Germany was attacking and conquering its neighbors, many of whom were our traditional allies. We didn't find out the extent of the Nazi attempt to exterminate the Jews until we liberated the death camps in 1945. Yugoslavia/Serbia is not threatening any other nation militarily. Robert W. Brown
