If you ordered a commemorative Coke bottle from the town of Brooks, expect a delay in receiving it. Town Councilman Caroline Smith reported during council's meeting this week that a problem has arisen with the town's order. The order was placed last November and the Coca Cola Company accepted it at that time, but guidelines for ordering commemorative bottles changed in March and the company insists that the town must order again, under the new guidelines. Smith said that she has been in daily contact with Coke representatives and while she hopes to have the problem worked out soon, it will be several more months before they are received. "We ask everyone to please understand the position we are in," said Smith. "We somehow have gotten caught in between two sets of guidelines and several department heads who are each saying different things. We will certainly keep everyone informed as we try to resolve the matter."
