Dining Guide
tasty for everyone Nick's Restaurant By PAT NEWMAN
Nick Boris wants his restaurant to be known as the place in town where patrons can get "real food" and lots of it. Tucked behind Mrs. Winner's Chicken off GA. Highway 85 in Fayetteville,Nick's Steakhouse and Cafe opened about four weeks ago. An extensive menu featuring freshly-cut porterhouse steaks, dinner-plate size salads, fried shrimp and chicken fingers has attracted a steady dinner crowd and growing lunch bunch. Boris claims his commitment to freshness and quantity serves as the appetizer to entice first-time diners back for seconds. "Everything is fresh; nothing is pre-cooked or frozen," he said. Relying on Thien Huu Le, his chef with 20 years of experience, Boris is dishing up everything from tuna casserole to taco pie. "We plan to change the menu about three times a year. We'll keep the best-sellers and add some lighter items for the summer," Boris said. "We'll offer three lunch specials all week," he noted. "Pasta specials will be served on Fridays and Saturdays." "We're trying to please everybody," Boris added. "We will substitute anything we have on the menu." In addition to offering food, Boris plans to utilize the stage built into his restaurant for karioke and live bands. The bar provides an assortment of wines and beers plus a new take on an old standard, the frozen daquiri and margarita. With alcohol sales limited to wine and beer in Fayetteville, Boris has concocted a frosty cocktail using white wine in place of the traditional rum and tequila. "You can't tell the difference," Boris promised. A wall of electronic games, a big screen TV, plus a pool table provides a source of entertainment are located Would you like to tell us what you think of this story?
