Fayette Tigers keep kicking

The regular season of high school soccer enters it's final week. The Fayette County Tigers boy's soccer team has amassed a 12-1 record this season and a seventh place ranking in AAAA. They are 7-1 in the region, their only loss coming at the hands of McIntosh by a score of 3-2. Brent Turner and Todd Edwards lead the team in scoring with seven goals and three assists a piece. Andy Hannon has six goals and two assists. Trevor Bowman is the assist leader with 11 and has scored twice this season.

The goalkeeper who has kept the differential between goals for and goals against so wide is J.B. Wood. He has a goals against average of .826 in the 775 minutes he has spent in the net. He has recorded 52 saves and scored one goal and recorded two assist in his time on the field. The backup keeper is Jonathan Williams who has recorded three saves in 285 minutes in goal. Jonathan has scored three goals in his time on the field. Along with the outstanding play of the keepers, the defense has been extraordinarily strong. Andrew Sherwin at sweeper has made key saves throughout the season. Kenny Adams, Preston Pack, Craig White and Brad West have helped shut down many attacks for the Tigers as well.
