Recently, the 12 Hours of Sebring went into the record books with the closest finish in the history of the event. This weekend, those very same racing teams come to Road Atlanta for "The Grand Prix at Road Atlanta presented by Lease Plan". Racing action begins on Friday with practice and qualifying rounds for all classes. Along with the World Sports Cars, LeMans Prototypes and GT Cars, the Star Mazda, Sports Toyota, Motorola Cup and the new Women's Global GT Series will be featured as well. On Saturday, there will be more qualifying for all series. The Star Mazda race is scheduled for 12:15 and the three hour Motorola Cup race for street stock cars will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday kicks off with the Sports Toyota Championship race at 9:15 a.m. The Women's Global GT Championship race begins at 12:00 noon and the two hour and 45 minute American LeMans Championship starts at 2:00 p.m. The 2.54 mile, 12 turn Road Atlanta circuit is located 45 minutes north of Atlanta. Take I-85 to Exit 49 and go west five miles. Infield parking is $5 at all events. Infield camping is $25 per vehicle for the weekend. Non-reserved RV Camping is $25. Reserved RV camping is $100. Ticket prices are as follows: The Weekend Superticket is $55, Weekend General Admission is $45, the Sunday Superticket is $45 and Sunday General Admission is $35. Tickets for children under 12 are free. Tickets are available at the gate on race days. The racing action will be non-stop, get out there and feed the need for speed. |
