There are many opinions expressed here, in the media, national magazines, and talking heads all over the world about the U.S. and NATO involvement in Yugoslavia. I can understand the differences of opinion and the pros and cons. What I can't understand is using an argument such as this to support opposition to any involvement: "United States' interests are in no way endangered. Simply put, this is a civil war in Yugoslavia that should not concern us in any way, shape, form, or fashion. There are many other places around the world where the same events are taking place, yet, the only place where America must step in is Kosovo." According to this rationale, the Holocaust and the genocide by German Nazis over German Jews was a civil matter, and not of any concern to anyone outside of Germany. Think about it... please!
