Kristie Spinks earned membership in Griffin Financial Services' Million Dollar Club during March. Frank Bennett, vice president of Griffin Financial Services, said the Million Dollar Club recognition comes when loan officer from the firm has a million dollars or more in loan production during a month. A loan officer with the company's McDonough office, Mrs. Spinks has been in the mortgage field since 1992, working in processing, closing and post closing before becoming a loan officer. Prior to entering the mortgage loan industry, she was in real estate for four years. A DeKalb County native, Mrs. Spinks and her husband Erik live in Locust Grove. They have one son, Jacob, 2. Griffin Financial Services has its operations and underwriting departments, as well as a mortgage loan office, in Fayetteville. There are branch offices in McDonough, Jackson, Barnesville, Newnan and Griffin, and a new branch office is planned for Peachtree City. Griffin Financial Services was formerly the mortgage division of Griffin Federal Savings Bank, but late in 1997, the division's assets were acquired by Group Financial Southeast (GFSE), the parent company of Fairfield Financial and Phoenix Financial. The company, which now operates as a division of GFSE, specializes in permanent mortgage loan financing, including FHA, VA, RHCDS and conventional loans, and first time home buyer programs. Griffin Financial Services is also highly aggressive in the construction lending area. |
