The Stella Maris F.C. boy's U-12 soccer team from Dublin, Ireland will be visiting Fayette County during the first two weeks of April. Hosted by the A.F.C. Lightning 87' Gold team and their families, it will be the first opportunity for many of these young boys to experience life in the United States.

One of the players from the Lightning 87' Gold team played as a guest with the Stella Maris team last summer during a tournament in Ireland and this resulted in the Lightning team extending an invitation for the team to travel to the United States and participate in a "Home-Stay" in conjunction with "friendly matches" and a mini-tournament including other U-12 boy's teams from Georgia.

This visit will provide a memorable experience and an excellent opportunity for both groups with such varied backgrounds and cultures to interact. The Lightning '87' team is looking forward to the Stella Maris arrival and is considering the possibility of traveling to Ireland in 2000.
