Fashion show and luncheon for ladies

The Women's Ministry Committee of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro will host a Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon on April 17 at 10 a.m. in the Christian Activities Building. Over 500 ladies are expected to attend.

Local models will present fashions by Steinmart featuring a wide variety of clothes from travel and cruise wear and summer casual to career and dressy church attire. Fashions for everyone from petite to women's sizes will be in the showing. Those attending the luncheon will learn the "Ten must haves for spring" as well as tops for having a great wardrobe at a reasonable price.

Ginny Milner, wife of recent Republican candidate for governor Guy Milner, will be the guest speaker. She founded the Ginny Milner Foundation, an organization that supports Christian outreach programs and was on the board for the Billy Graham Atlanta Crusade.

Living 'Life in the Spirit'

The Catholic Church of St. Gabriel, 135 Antioch Road in Fayetteville, will present a "Life in the Spirit" Seminar on Wednesday evenings, April 14-May 26 from 7:30-9:15 p.m. The seminar is designed to help participants reestablish or deepen a personal relationship with Jesus by yielding to the Holy Spriti. Newnan church hosts Festival of Faith

Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Newnan is celebrating its second annual Spring Festival of Faith, April 18-21. The theme of the festival is "Jesus Christ The Light of the New Millennium" and will begin with a prayer vigil from 6:30-7:30 Friday night. The Sunday Youth night services will feature a complimentary Twilight Picnic starting at 5 p.m. and Concert Under the Stars featuring Stand Forth. The program will start at 7 p.m. and feature Charles Collins, the chaplain of the Atlanta Falcons. The church is located at 2956 Ga. Highway 154.
