Peachtree City police are investigating a robbery that took place at a local store last weekend. According to reports, the incident occurred Saturday at approximately 6:10 p.m. at Canterbury's Gift Shop in the Kedron Village shopping center.

An unknown white male, described as 30 to 40 years of age and between 5-feet-9 and 6 feet tall, entered the store and demanded money from the cashier. The robber placed his hand under his jacket to give the impression that he was holding a gun, the report said, but no weapon was ever seen. He fled the store on foot, and several items left by the robber were recovered at the scene. Police were still checking out leads in this case as of Thursday morning.

Also under investigation is a criminal damage incident that took place last week. In the Aberdeen Village shopping area on March 23, an unknown person or persons attempted to enter a parked vehicle, according to reports. On that same day, a rear window was broken on another vehicle in the same area and several personal items were stolen. That case is under investigation as well.
