On Wednesday, Mar. 31 White water Country Club will host
their 11th annual "Tune Up for The Masters"
Fayette County Chamber of Commerce Golf
Tournament. The tournament will be a four
person/Ft. Lauderdale format at a cost of $95 per player. the cost
includes: cart, green fees, lunch, range, prizes and dinner. Lunch and
registration begins at 11 a.m., tee off is at noon. For more

Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center is having a
three-point shootout on April 3 at 10 a.m. The shootout will be a
competition to see how many three-point shots a person can make in a
certain amount of time. The participants with the best scores will
advance to the next round. Sign up now and reserve your spot for the
shoot-out. The cost is only $5 and the categories go from age 8 to

The Fayette County Youth Soccer League is still
accepting registrations for the Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPS)
for physically and mentally challenged boys and girls, ages 6 to 19.
The cost is $40 per year, and we are hoping to participate in the
Special Olympics in May, in the 8 through 15 age group. Call Pete Folds

The Starr's Mill High School Interact Club is starting it's first
annual 5K Run/Walk - the Daffodil Dash - on Saturday, May 1.
The run begins at 7:45 and the walk begins at 8 a.m. The race will
begin and end in front of the Peachtree City Ampitheater. The entry

The Joe Tennant Memorial Classic Golf Tournament
will eb held on April 30 at Flat Creek Golf Course in Peachtree

On Monday, Apr.19, Christian City will host their annual
Spring Children's Golf Classicat Georgia National Golf Course
in MDonough.There will be prizesand trophies in this Ft. Lauderdale
format tournament. For $125, golfers can play this beautiful course.
The cost includes lunch,dinner and a tax -deductible donation of $85
to the Christian City Home for Children.Hole sponsorships

The Lightning Soccer Club is hosting a 4v4/6v6 soccer
tournament on Monday, April 5 beginning at 9 a.m. It will be held
at McCurry Park in Fayettevill. There will be four age divisions for
boys and girls. U10 and U12 girls and boys will ahvea minimum of
four games lasting 15 minutes each. The cost for U10's and U12's
is $50. U14 and U16 boys and girls will play a minimum of four
games lasting 24 minutes each at a cost of $75. There will be competitive
and recreational divisions in each age group. In the event of bad
weather, the tournament will be held on the first day the firlds are open
following Monday. Applications must be in by March 31 to secure a spot.
For ages 8-14, The Lightning Soccer Club is offering a
Spring Break Camp at McCurry park in Fayetteville April 6-9 from 9
a.m.-4 p.m. (drop of and pick up are at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectfully)
The cost of the camp is $125 - Full Day (Bring Lunch) and $70-Half
Day. The staff of the camp will consist of Lightning staff and
players/alumni. In the event of bad weather, the camp will take place at the
Indoor Soccer Centre.For information about the camp or the tournament,

The Soccer Centre in Fayetteville is registering for the
Spring Adult Indoor Soccer season that begins April12. Teams will be
organized into Mens' Open, Co-ed, Over 30 and the new Over
40 Master's Leagues. Each team will play seven regular season
games plus a post season tournament for all teams. Leagues play on
weekday evenings only (Monday-Thursday). Team fee is $480 and
the registration deadline is April 2. Individuals may call and be placed on
a pickup list. Schedules will be posted on the web site at

The Peachtree City Youth Soccer Lazer Program is
accepting resumes from any coaches or trainers interested
in coaching/training select teams for the Fall
1999-Spring 2000season. Positions are available in all age groups
U10 through U19 both boys and girls. Expectations are that there will
be over 30 Lazer teams this fall. Send your resume, which includes
coaching licenses and experience with your requests to Robert
Wiemann, Chairman Select team Committee, 115 Colonnade Drive,
Peachtree City, Georgia 30269. by April 15. All applicants will be contacted
by PTCYSA Director of Coaching Charlie Morgan. Coaches will
be announced in early May for all teams.
Fayetteville will host the Higher Ground Softball camps june
21-24 at McCurry park in Fayetteville. Fast pitch pitching and
catching camps will be offered on june 21 and 22 and fast and slow
pitch hitting camps will be offered on June 23 and 24. For more
