The Fayette County Special Olympics Track and Field meet will be held Thursday, April 1, at the Fayette County high School Stadium. Volunteers are needed to help at this event, leading the athletes through the events, maintaining the event areas during the competition, track placements and ribbons and most importantly, cheer and encourage these special athletes. The Parade of athletes is scheduled for 9 a.m. and volunteers should be there beforehand to help setup. This year marks the return of school participation and we are expecting over 120 student and master level athletes. Come out and show your support and share in their excitement.
