Sandy Creek's girls basketball coach, Doug Crane, will be leaving the team at the end of this school year and joining the assistant basketball coaching staff for the Lady Laker basketball team at Clayton College and State University. Coach Crane has been coaching at the high school level for 26 years , including stops at Jonesboro and Riverdale, as well as Sandy Creek. Coach Crane has won more than 300 games in his career, guiding five teams to the ste tournament and two to the Final Four. He has also been named Clayton County Coach of the Year as well as GACA Coach of the Year. He also started the girls basketball programs at both Riverdale and Sandy Creek as well. We wish him contiued success in his new endeavor.
