Clinton's Kosovo crusade not worth one U.S. soldier's blood

Letters from Our Readers

After seven years of lies from our impeached and disgraced President, William Jefferson Clinton, how can he expect the nation to believe his argument that the Kosovo problem is of such great importance that he needs to send the U.S. military to bomb the Serbs? United States' interests are in no way endangered.Simply put, this is a civil war in Yugoslavia that should not concern us in any way, shape, form, or fashion. There are many other places around the world where the same events are taking place, yet, the only place where America must step in is Kosovo.

The only reason for Clinton's actions at this time is his total desperation in leaving a lasting legacy for future history. It is so ironic that this man has already had a chance to prove his mettle during the Vietnam conflict but, instead, deserted his country and shirked his duty by sneaking off to Oxford University in England as a Rhodes Scholar. This same man said that he "loathed" the military, but will use military force whenever he sees the opportunity to look like a tough, strong man.

Clinton is not a strong man. Clinton is a coward and a hypocrite. He would not do his duty but he will not hesitate to send your boys into harm's way to do their duty. His strength comes strictly from the power of the oppressive government he so dearly loves.

Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Slobodan Milosovic, nor Bill Clinton's legacy is worth one single drop of an American soldier's blood.

The only way I would accept Clinton's premise on the importance of his actions in Kosovo would be for him to don a military uniform and lead his troops into battle, personally.
