It was musical chairs recently at the Coweta County School System. The board earlier this month approved four key personnel changes at the administrative level. Atkinson Elementary principal Sherry Warren will leave her school and move into the system's central office to supervise the Cities and School Program, the Student Mentoring Program and title programs that serve at-risk students. Ruth Hill principal Connie Davis assumes Warren's old job at Atkinson, while lead teacher at Ruth Hill, Nancy Royal, takes the principal's job at Ruth Hill. Jeanette Teagle, who formerly supervised the county's Title 1 programs will now serve as Pre-K/Family Services Coordinator. School officials said all of the changes will benefit the school system since the educators have all had a long and distinguished career in the county. Warren has been a teacher, system program supervisor and principal, while Davis has been a teacher, assistant principal and assistant principal. Royal has been a teacher and instructional lead teacher in the county and was Georgia's Teacher of the Year in 1993. Teagle has a degree in social work and has served as teacher, principal and central office coordinator. The changes take place immediately.
