Although Kalman has a business management degree, she "followed her heart and traded in her suits and briefcase for boots and guitar." She has performed at fund-raisers and state fairs, at the Bluebird and at FanFest, and has been chosen one of the top 10 songwriters at the Kerrville Music Festival. Entertainment at the popular coffee house, held in National Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville, will also include Barney's Goat, with Irish music and American wit; and the trio of Ray, Carol and John, with songs ranging from '60s folk to bluegrass. Home-baked desserts and gourmet coffees and teas are available to Stars patrons, who are encouraged to bring their mugs from home for a discount on hot beverages and a chance to win the "Most Unusual Mug" award. National Heights is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Old Norton, between Peachtree City and downtown Fayetteville. Doors open at 7:45 p.m., and the show begins at 8:15 p.m. Admission is $6 for the general public and $4 for seniors and children under 12.
