Fayette Follies was the 'Bomb' (That's good!)

Letters from Our Readers

[Recently] I was treated to the Fayette Follies at Sams Auditorium. I went specifically to see my granddaughter Haley Murphy sing "Wishin" in her "Mother's Wedding Gown." Needless to say she was wonderful with her beautiful voice. but, and that,is an exclamation of surprise, the entire production was fabulous. Not only were all the students great, the faculty of that school is the best kept secret in Fayette County! They sang, danced, were funny (re: Ed Sullivan the emcee) and dazzled the audience.

I've seen many a show, even have a major in theater from Kent University but let me tell you folks, Fayette Elementary is The Bomb (that means in 1999 they are the best).

I wish I knew all their names to give them credit Mrs. Garcia, the premier fifth grade teacher, was adorable tooting her sax in the Big Band scene and Ms. Rudy produced the show. She is known as a fabulous music teacher, which her Fayetteville chorus has proven many times. Every school needs a Ms. Rudy. Nancy Campbell was the artistic director great job.

The audience laughed, applauded, they screamed, and they even whistled. To be that good next year, the faculty is already in rehearsal!

Thank you for a great evening!
