Easter Season Events

* Rolling Hills Baptist Church will have a Pancake Breakfast on March 27 at 8:30 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Tickets: $3, which includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, juice, and coffee. Tickets available at The Fayette Book Shop in Fayetteville or at the church office. Proceeds will benefit the improvement of the church playground. An Easter Egg Hunt will follow the breakfast for children through the fifth grade. Everyone is invited to attend. 770-719-1493.

* Kenwood Christian Church presents "Behold the Lamb" March 27 at 7 p.m. and March 28 at 9:30 and 11 a.m. This musical drama is narrated by the apostle Peter played by Byron Cartwright, professor of music at Atlanta Christian College. Childcare is available Saturday evening for birth to 5 year olds and on Sunday for birth through fifth grade. Admission is free. Fore more information, call 770-461-1487.

* Grace Baptist Church in Sharpsburg will present "Then Came Sunday" on March 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. The program features the adult sanctuary choir and cast in full dramatization of the events of Christ's life surrounding his death, burial and resurrection. The community is invited.

* St. Andrew's in the Pines Episcopal Church invites the community to a dramatic reading by the youth of the parish on Palm Sunday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. Childcare will be provided. The youth will read "The Last Words." 770-487-8415.

* The National Heights Baptist Church in Fayetteville will present their Easter music on March 28 during the morning worship service. The choir will present a service of story and music based on "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus." The church will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 at 9 a.m.

* St. Andrews in the Pines Episcopal Church in Peachtree City has the following Easter season services planned: Palm Sunday, March 28 service at 7:30 a.m., with procession of the palms at 9:15 and 11 a.m., reading by youth at 7:30 p.m.; Holy Wednesday, March 31, Tenebrae at 9 p.m.; Maundy Thursday, April 1 at 7:30; Good Friday, April 2 at noon and Tenebrae at 9 p.m.; Holy Saturday, April 3 at 7:30 a.m. and Easter Vigil at 9 p.m.; and Easter Services at 7:30, 9:15 and 11 a.m. The public is welcome and invited. 770-487-8415.

* Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church has the following Easter season services scheduled: Palm Sunday, March 28 at 8:30 and 11 a.m.; Maundy Thursday at noon and 7:30 p.m.; Good Friday, April 2, 7:30 p.m.; Easter Sunday, April 4, 8:30 and 11 a.m. services. The youth will put on their annual Easter breakfast between services so come hungry. 770-997-7117.

* North Fayette United Methodist Church will hold several Easter season services. For Palm Sunday on March 28, there will be two services at 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Maundy Thursday on April 1 services will be at 7 p.m. The Easter Cantata performed by the Chancel Choir will be at 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 4. The Easter Sermon will be given at 9:30 a.m. on April 4. The Easter Egg Hunt will be April 3 at 10:30 a.m. 770-461-2409.

* Zion Lutheran Church in Newnan will hold the following Easter season services: Maundy Thursday service, April 1, at 7 p.m.; Good Friday Service, April 2, at 7 p.m.; and Easter Sonrise Celebration, April 4, at 8 a.m. Easter breakfast served following the service. 770-253-2884.

* Brooks United Methodist Church will be celebrating Tenebrae a Candlelight Communion Service for Good Friday on April 2 at 7:30 p.m. The annual church Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 3 from 9:30 a.m.-noon. 770-719-7593.

* New Hope Baptist Church will hold Easter Services April 4 at 8 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. on the North Campus and at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on the South Campus. 770-461-4337.

* Living Way Church in Stockbridge will present the Easter theatrical production "Malchus," April 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. Come witness the life, death and resurrection as told through the eyes of Malchus, a servant of the high priests. Tickets free, but are required. 770-474-5595.

* Inman United Methodist Church will hold an Easter sunrise service, April 4 in the cemetery. The church is requesting family's with buried relatives to put out new artificial flowers.
