The Starr's Mill boys and girls soccer team traveled to St. Pius on Tuesday night. They had been looking forward to this match since last year. The Lady Panthers lost to St. Pius ion the state finals last year and were looking for some vengeance. Starr's Mill scored 23 minutes into the game when Janet Burke scored off of a Brady Ragan assist. Kacy Murray scored less than a minute after that to bring the score to 2-0. St. Pius answered only moments after the second Starr's Mill goal, but after that it was all Lady Panthers.

Janet Burke scored two more goals, Alice Martin scored three and Kacy Murray added another one. Allison Graham had three assists in the game. The final score was 8-1.

The boys lost their game to St. Pius, last year's state semifinalist, 1-0. The game was scoreless through most of the game but St. Pius scored with less than four minutes remaining. The Panthers pushed and pushed for a goal in the final minutes of the game and narrowly missed. Starr's Mill will host Harrison on Friday night at the Baseball/Soccer Complex on Hwy. 74 South in Peachtree City.

The Starr's Mill boys and girls golf team defeated Griffin on Tuesday. Andrew Suggs tied his own school record by shooting a 37 to lead the boys. The boys team defeated Griffin by 2 strokes.
