The Peachtree City Council will hear a request by Photocircuits Corp., to allow setback encroachments on two sides of its property at 320 Dividend Drive, at the regular council meeting March 18 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The variances have been the subject of protests by residents, mostly from Planterra Ridge, a subdivision just west of Peachtree City's industrial park area. Residents met Monday with city officials (see related story above). Council also will hear an update on the process for codification of the city ordinance book and a report on national certification for several city firefighters. Annexations and zonings for about 12 acres in the Greenwood Lane area also will be considered. Other agenda items include consideration for a zoning ordinance text amendment to allow a private club in OI and for reinstatement of the multifamily zoning moratorium for the Bridgepark Commercial Subdivision. The council had agreed to lift the moratorium for that parcel only to allow consideration of an assisted living facility. Developers of the home have withdrawn their rezoning request.
