Peachtree City police arrested four Haralson County men last Friday after discovering security-system tampering at a business near Ga. Highway 74 and Dividend Drive, reports show. All four were charged with loitering and two with criminal trespass. Charged were Alfie R. Vann, 26, Bremen, loitering and allowing another to violate state law; Tommy L. Pike, 26, Tallapoosa, loitering and criminal trespass; Sheldon Z. Alexander, 22, Tallapoosa, loitering and criminal trespass; Stephen R. Wilson, 20, Tallapoosa, loitering. Police also charged Steven Hines, 1004 Buffalo Rd., Peachtree City, with forgery in the first degree after he reportedly cashed stolen checks at the A&P grocery. Another charge of first-degree forgery and six more counts of obtaining dangerous drugs by fraudulent means were lodged March 4 against Judith T. Lavergne of Peachtree City. Last week's reports showed that Lavergne was suspected of having stolen a prescription pad and forged a doctor's name. Other arrests included Shirl A. Clay, 42, 137 Summer Brook Drive, DUI, no insurance and driving on the wrong side of the road; Laura L. Nelson, 33, Newnan, violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act and speeding; William P. Palmer, 27, hit and run after leaving the scene of an accident at Schlotzsky's Deli; Saoao Seki, 44, 1000 Stevens Entry, failure to maintain lane, DUI, and no proof of insurance; Anthony J. Secinaro, 38, Iron Mountain, Mich., DUI and failure to maintain lane.
